MEET Our LOCAL FARMS
Nothing But VirgInia’s Best
We partner with incredible farms across Virginia, all committed to ethical practices and exceptional quality. From unique heritage breeds to consistently outstanding poultry, lamb, and pork, we bring you the very best.
Bellair Farm
Bellair Farm strives to be the one-stop shop for local farm products in Albemarle county: producing and sourcing food raised in a way that is safe for the land and its people. We're well-known for our vegetable CSA program, which is the largest in the area, serving over 650 households. We serve our members, as well as the general public, from our on-farm store (with accompanying Pick-Your-Own fields!) and many market locations each week.
In addition to our 26 acres of vegetables, we also raise pork, beef, chicken and eggs in ecologically-intelligent rotational systems that allow our animals to live out their natural instincts in a way that is sustainable for the land they occupy. For Stock, we raise Berkshire hogs in a mix of wooded lands, open pastures, and silvopastures. We are dedicated to integrating conservation with production agriculture, and this can be seen in our pig pastures on multiple fronts. Our short grazing periods are broken up by long rest periods, encouraging regeneration and a great mix of species. We're growing our own silvopastures, which have wildlife benefits on top of keeping our hogs cool in a warming world. Finally, we're mindful of whether we're grazing uplands or bottomlands based on the season, and that has benefits for both the animals and the land itself.
L & H Quail Farm
L&H Farm, tucked in the scenic hills of Greene County, Virginia, raises Coturnix quail the way nature intended—ethically, sustainably, and with care. Our birds are rotated on fresh pasture, where they forage for grass, seeds, and insects. We supplement their diet with non-GMO feed and provide free-choice access, so they eat naturally and grow at a healthy pace.
Rainbow’s End Farm
Rainbow's End Farm is a small family farm founded in 1985 in Brookneal, Virginia. We believe that happy, healthy animals yield better products, and that philosophy is woven into every decision we make at the farm. We practice ethical and sustainable farming and produce high-quality products that we are proud to put our name on.
Parker Family Farm
Parker Family Farm is a multi species pasture based farm in Gloucester, VA that uses regenerative methods to raise turkeys. From high quality non-GMO feeds to frequent pasture paddock moves we strive to ensure that our birds are healthy and thriving in the way that they were created to be.
Whiffletree Farm
Whiffletree Farm is a pasture-raised and regenerative family farm, owned and operated by Jesse and Liz Straight in Warrenton, VA. Sixteen years ago they started with just fifty chickens - now they raise a range of beef, pork, chicken, eggs, and turkey. Our mission is to provide food that is truly healing by integrating people, animals, and land together according to their design.
Free Union Grass Farm
Stock and Free Union Grass Farm have been working together since the shop opened in 2013. Joel Slezak raises superior Pekin duck cleanly and responsibly on pasture with daily rotation and clean feed since 2010. The farm’s quality and consistency sets them apart and they are well known and regarded in the community.
Meadow’s Pride Farm
Meadow’s Pride Lamb is the benchmark for what lamb ought to be: properly raised, tender, mild but flavorful, never gamey, and consistent. The practices that the farm employs are right on par with the quality of their product, and Stock loves the family even more than the lamb.
Autumn Olive Farms
Autumn Olive Farms raises some of the best Berkshire and Ossabaw pork in the United States, and does so responsibly and respectfully. Stock has worked with Autumn Olive since opening their doors. Autumn Olive pork is firm, well-marbled, tender, delicious, and consistent.
