Welcome to JM Stock. We are a local, whole-animal butcher shop with locations in Charlottesville & Richmond, VA. If you were looking for the best sustainably produced meats Virginia has to offer, look no further. We have a passion for good food, and we believe that means knowing exactly where it comes from and being directly involved in its production. Privacy Policy

We value and respect the people who make it possible for us to be a whole-animal butchery, and we guard this relationship carefully. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.


We believe that your email address is private information. We do not rent or sell your email address to anyone. Here are the types of emails we may send to you:

  • Order-related emails. If you make a purchase from us, we will send you emails directly related to your order. For example, we will send you an email confirming your order and notifying you of order shipment.

  • Meat Club emails. We communicate with members you automated emails via Farmigo to remind you of a scheduled pickup or to inform you about changes or issues with your account.

  • Subscription-based marketing emails. If you subscribed to our emails, we will periodically send you emails to let you know about specific products or sales we think you might be interested in. You may opt out at any time from any or ALL emails by going to your account settings or by opting out in an individual email.


All orders on our site are encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology – one of the most prevalent and secure systems available online. SSL is an extremely complex form of cryptography that makes it virtually impossible for a third party to decrypt any personal information you provide.


We use a web-based software platform called Farmigo to manage the Meat Club subscription program. When you sign up, a secure, online member profile is created with your account activity. You can view and change your subscription, edit credit card info, or put your pickups on hold just by signing in to your account.

We accept payments via credit card or electronic check. Meat Club members make a six week commitment by paying up front, and all payments are set to automatically renew when your balance hits $0. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Our order site is run by Farmigo, and your information is stored securely by For à la carte orders, members and non-members can make one-time purchases via our online store using the same payment methods.

If you'd like to cancel your subscription for any reason, please contact us at You must cancel your subscription at least 1 week in advance of the upcoming pickup if you do not want to be charged for that package. Refunds will be based on a pro-rated sum dependent on the remaining balance of the Meat Club member's account.


Merchandise. We offer returns on merchandise orders within 30 days of delivery. Returned items must not have been worn, altered, washed, or damaged, and must include all original packaging and tags. Refunds will be provided as a credit to the credit card used at the time of purchase within five (5) business days upon receipt of the returned merchandise. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Butchery Classes. If you would like to cancel a class reservation, we offer a full refund within 7 days notice.

Holiday Ordering. For holiday pre-orders, we state refund policies in the individual item descriptions, and do our best to work with customers when unexpected circumstances arise.


Merchandise orders will be shipped within (3) business days. We determine the most efficient shipping carrier for your order, which includes USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Sorry but we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. Please note that in November and December orders may take a little longer (up to 5 business days) to ship out. Thanks for your patience!
